Happy New Year 2010

It was an informal New Years Eve party in the RV park.  Even in Arizona it gets chilly so we built a fire and walked around to round up what neighbors we could find.  Some opted for the party at the clubhouse.  But those who were here had a good time.  Bill Foster showed us a slide show of his trip down the Grand Canyon in a boat last May.  Then later he brought us over some trout he cooked on another outing.  The young man standing in the top picture is not 55 or older.  He is Bill and Sue's son who is visiting for the holidays.  His Mom is sitting next to him.  Randy and Mary are also sitting between Sue and John. The two guys in the center picture are Gary and Steve.  Their wives were both at work.  In the last picture are Ben and Della, and Al and Pat.  Al is responsible for the wood for the fire as he gathered it up.

For those who stayed late enough, we were rewarded with the sight of the Blue Moon rising over the uppermost peak of Superstition Mountain.  Amazing sight.  Then we went in to see the ball drop on Times Square.  Midnight for the east coast.  That was good enough for us.  We went off to bed.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
