babysitting with twins

The babies have had colds this week so Mimi and Papaw responded to the call.  Please come help and babysit.  It was our pleasure!  As any grandparent can tell you, it's a lot of fun when the parents aren't around.  Lily prefers Papaw although will willing come to Mimi when Papaw isn't around.  She walks everywhere in a lurching, swaying walk that makes us think she is going to constantly fall down.  She also enjoys eating.  Today she had cottage cheese, cooked carrots and broccoli, mashed bananas in yogurt.  Then when Callum woke up, she got back in her high chair and ate some cheerios, jello, and cheese.

Callum was the sick one so his appetite wasn't as good.  He hated the bananas in yogurt, opening his mouth to let them fall out and refusing any more bites that I offered.  He'd pick up his own bites, thank you very much, of food he liked.  Today he wanted me to hold him and snuggle.  I could have sat there all day but Mom came home and I eventually had to leave.

But the good thing is we get to go back tomorrow and see them again.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
