Hagerstown

No trip would be complete without a trip to a railroad museum.  This was a pretty little caboose.  There was also an engine  - a 4-6-4, 150 ton class pacific, coal converted to oil in 1947 (this is for Al and Linda's benefit).  The museum didn't have much.  Tomorrow we hope to visit a model railroad museum which claims to have one of the largest model railroads on the east coast.

Today was spent at a picnic in the Hagerstown park with the family and friends of the bride and groom.  We enjoyed seeing everyone and the weather cooperated by being sunshiny and nice.  No jacket needed.

Then we came home and enjoyed relaxing outside with only a few mosquitoes.  This KOA has huge family weekends planned for each weekend in October.  They celebrate Halloween in a big way with parades, pumpkin carving contests and even prizes for the best decorated camper.  Needless to say we aren't participating in any of it but enjoy people watching.  The dogs love it.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
