Book Sale

No pictures but a big event for me.  Picture a building filled with thousands and thousands and thousands of used books.  Picture me with a cart on wheels.  And all books were half price.  I had my lists and the books were in categories.  But didn't find any that were on my list to look for.  However I managed to get three shopping bags full.   John stayed home and a friend from the RV park went with me, Paige Lust.  She was looking for books about knitting or wool and didn't find any.  The main crowd goes on Saturday with people lining up at midnight on Friday night.  My friends think I'm nuts about books but not that nuts.

Am reading a book for the mystery book club called Head Games by Craig McDonald.  Don't really care for the book but am trying to get through it before Tuesday.  Will be curious to see if anyone liked it.  I see it more as an action movie appealing to adolescent boys and men.

Paige and I stopped at The Florist Cafe for lunch.  They have the most amazing salads.  Mine had baby spinach, roasted red peppers, carmalized onions, pears, feta and pine nuts.  The iced tea was a spicy chai with vanilla, or some such thing.  Paige is on the trail to find out where we can buy some.  Great lunch (sorry I didn't take a picture).

Nuh-uh - you went to a book sale with a woman named "Paige Lust?"

How badly do you wish you had that name, Aunt Jane? I suspect very badly.

It's funny you mention the book sale, because we've got the semi-annual library book sale starting today at the local mall. Betsy always takes a half-day off from work so she can get first crack at the books right when it the sale opens. I know you'd be very proud of her.

My daughter thought it great that I went to a book sale with Paige (page). And yes, Dan, you know your aunt. Lust would be fun. Just think telling everyone my name is Pickie Lust. Think of the fun I would have. And I'm sure the Lust family has some good ones to tell.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
