New Year's Day

Happy New Year!  It's been a great day.  Plenty of football for John and a nap for Jane.  We didn't get to see any grandchildren but that will happen later.  John's HO shop building is coming along.  Some would say he's obsessed but I'm glad he's keeping busy.  The weather was beautiful here today and lots of people were out walking in the RV park.   We enjoyed a visit with our friends Tim and Diane (and Zoey, their basset hound).  Heard that Terry and Berney have decided to go to Ireland instead of coming to Arizona to visit us.  What is wrong with those two!!!

Am reading Carolyn Heilbrun's book "The Last Gift of Time: Life Beyond Sixty".  She is also known as Amanda Cross who wrote mysteries.  But she said she only intended to live so long so committed suicide in 2003 when she was in her 70's.  Her book 'Writing a Woman's Life' has always been a favorite of mine.

Dinner is in the oven so we'll see if this RV propane small oven can cope with my Pork Tenderloin in Puff Pastry with Orange Balsamic Sauce.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
