Trip to Indy

We had the fun of traveling with our daughter, her 3 year old twins, 2 dogs and a loaded car.  Here are my notes from the first day:

 - Left at 8:00 am  Mimi in the back seat between the twins.  Good trip. Played do you see' which took about 10 minutes. Callum would say "Mimi do you see the cows?"  When I said 'no', he would giggle and say "they are hiding from you".  Movie worked for a while, toys were fine.  Stopped in Payson to potty.  Mimi promised a treat to Lily if she would go potty.  Big mistake!!  It took a good 15 minutes to choose a toy.  Mimi finally agreed to a 10.00 toy for Callum just to get them out of there.  It takes at least 10 minutes to unpack Mimi from the car.

Stopped for lunch in Holbrook at a city park.  It gave the twins a chance to run and play on the merry-go round and swings.  Problem with dogs in back - stuff keeps shifting.  Chauncy doesn't like at all.

Traffic backed up moving 2 miles per hour on I40.  So we changed plans and drove north through reservation land.  Will take a northern path and go across 70.  Kids were so good.  They are so excited about the motel room.  Phone was a big hit.  They've never seen a 'real' phone before. Lily tried to hide it in her back pack to take home.  She was also excited about finding a book in a dresser drawer and gave it to me to read. (Gideon bible).

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
