Mary Beth's Visit

It was a fun visit and very relaxing.  We checked out a number of fun food places like Pita Jungle where Mary Beth discovered the pleasure of patio dining with misters.  The roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce was exceptional.
On the way to the airport we made a quick stop (maybe not so quick) at Sam Fox's new place called NoRTH Frittoria in the Arcadia district in Phoenix.  It was happy hour so you can see we are enjoying the wine and a delicious selection of appetizers.  We put Mary Beth on the plane feeling relaxed and happy.

On Monday we made a quick trip to the Grand Canyon.  I think it's a trip everyone should make.  Pictures are great but you don't get the 3 dimensional effect of the immense size.  We didn't go hiking down into the canyon.  While the air was a little hazy, it was still a magnificent sight.  We could see  smoke from one of the wildfires that is currently burning in Arizona on our way back.

Mary Beth joined me in the pool every morning for water aerobics.   And we had to work extra hard to get rid of the calories we were consuming from eating out.  We spent time with the twins, visited the peach orchard and invited the neighbors over for peach cobbler.  Our friends Al and Linda joined us for lunch one day.  And Mary Beth helped me pick out fabric for a new quilt.  It was a fun visit and we hope she'll come back.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
