Overnighters

Now that we're back in AJ, the twins were eager to spend the night. Or at least that's what their parents claimed. So, good parents that they are, they loaded up the car with toys, clothes and the twins and drove them out to spend the night.  They even brought the fixings for martinis (hmmm was that a bribe?).  A delightful time was had by all.  The bags of toys they brought.  Untouched.  Hamburgers for supper and then a late night swim (8 pm).  They loved the pool and kept us busy showing how they can swim.  Thank goodness we had help from Steve and Gail.
Then we watched The Fairy Princess on DVD before going to sleep.  Somehow Papaw and I managed to stay awake until the kids fell asleep.  I'm thinking it won't always be that way!  We went out to breakfast.  The place we went didn't have a kids menu.  Silly me for worrying about it.  They each ate a full size pancake.  Callum ate his egg and then polished off Lily's.

Lily loves looking at all our stuff.  Doggy poop bags, magnifying glass, pencils all hold her interest.  Each item is examined, talked about, and then put back (somewhere).  I'm still missing a shoe she was wearing but know it will turn up eventually.  So much fun when I got out my box of jewelry.  Then Papaw had fun things to do in the shed (annex).  They all tried out the electric guitar and watched the toy train run along the workbench.

The joy of being retired is that no matter how tired we were, it didn't matter because we have all week to sleep until we can persuade the parents to loan them out again.

I love your overview! Our GKs love our magnifying glass too and when we feed them something they love they eat more than I can believe possible for such little bodies. Darrian picks up the camera now and then and I just let him have at it. Its not like I have to pay for developing! Take care. Love, Diane

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
