Colorado Here We Come

It's been a busy week.  Seeing old friends before we go, cleaning the house so we can show it, packing and repacking stuff.  Amy and I hosted our book club and had a great time.  We discussed Song of Solomon and had a dinner of red beans and rice.  It was a new recipe and much spicier than my prior one but everyone cleaned their plates and said it was delicious.

I met a friend for lunch on Wednesday, had another friend over for dinner on Monday, taking Samantha out for dinner  tonight and having our son and family over tomorrow night.  Then we leave on Saturday with the house still on the market.  It's possible the house could sell and we would have to return to plan for an estate sale.  Hopefully John and Amy will have their offer on a house accepted so they will have some place to move to.

We leave Saturday for the reunion in Colorado.  We're stopping the first night in Sedalia, MO and will see our friends Gail and Steve.  Then a few days stop in Ellis, Kansas where John will add to the model train layout in the museum there.  Our son will join us next Wednesday in Ellis to see his Dad's hometown.  Our oldest daughter will be there on Thursday.  We'll meet our youngest daughter in Colorado.  Can't wait to have them all together.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
