The Twins Visit

Margaret brought the twins to visit this weekend.  You probably wouldn't think that there is much to interest a pair of two year olds in a 55+ RV park.  Wrong!  We got out the same old toy box full of toys they've seen before.  That occupied them for a while.  Then a walk in the desert.  There are quail and rabbits running around along with lots of other birds.  Margaret was nervous about seeing a rattlesnake but it didn't happen.  Then we got out the little shop vac.  Callum is an expert a sweeping and went to work on the steps.  He also took the broom and cleaned up the patio.  After all that work John took them for a ride in the car.  If you look closely you can see the little hands waving.  The seat is so low you can't tell there are little people in the front seat.  John drove about 5 miles an hr around the block inside the park.  I'm sure the neighbors wonder what that idiot was doing out in his convertible creeping around the park.

Then we went to IHOP for breakfast.  Pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage are always a hit with 2 year olds.

I attended a debate at ASU in the evening with my friend Linda who enjoys these as much as I.  We listened to a group of top scientists and philosophers debate the issue 'Can Science Tell Us Right From Wrong'.  I don't think the question was answered but they gave us a lot to think about.  I'm going to have to read some of their books to get more information.  I had read Lawrence Krauss before and Sam Harris has been in the news lately with his books.  The other speakers were Simon Blackburn, Steven Pinker, Peter Singer and moderator was Roger Bingham who is director of The Science Network.  Put my brain to work.

Love your posts. This babies aren't babies anymore are they. Man they grow fast. Re: science and truth. I'm not alone when amazed by all the outrageous science fiction ideas coming to be the norm and that's the basis and extent of my knowledge on that subject. Sounds interesting.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
