Dinner With Friends

We were invited to join some friends at Buca di Peppo for dinner tonight.  Wonderful evening.  We started out with promogranate margaritas.  Delightful on such a hot evening.  Our host, Kerry, had planned a suggested menu and printed it out.  We thought his choices perfect so he handed it to our waitress.  She was surprised and pleased.  My daughter said she wishes all customers would do the same.

The courses were as follows:
Antipasti - Mozzerella garlic bread and the Buca Trio platter consisting of fried calamari, fried mozzerella and stuffed mushrooms with an amazing basil cream sauce.
Insalate - We had an apple gorgonzola salad as well as an antipasto salad.  It was too hard to choose so we had a little of each.
Baked Pasta - Quattro al Forno which was a large platter containing cheese manicotti, chicken cannelloni, baked ravioli and stuffed shells.
Entree - We had our choice of three entrees - chianti braised short ribs, oven-roasted salmon and chicken saltimbocca along with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.

Needless to say that by the time the dessert arrived, we were quite stuffed.  I think in the following picture, Michael was thinking "how am I going to eat all of that".  But we persisted and managed to taste each of the offerings.  It was a wonderful evening.  Good food and good company.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
