Relaxing with the twins

As we prepare for our trip to Indy, we've had some opportunities to spend time with the twins.  Callum was sick one day so we received the early morning call to babysit.  Don't tell Margaret and Erick but we feel they are doing us a favor when they allow us to spend time with either or both of the children.  Callum spent most of the time sleeping in one or the other of our arms.  Nothing quite as relaxing as holding a sleeping baby.

Then Lily, who is never sick, woke up with a fever.  We are getting quite good at awaking up from a dead sleep and being out of the house in 15 minutes.  Lily loves her blankie and likes to curl up with it.

Yesterday Lily found her coat and decided to go by-by.  John helped her put the coat on and button it up.  Temp outside was in the 90's but the air conditioner was on inside.  Callum wanted to play too so he ran in the bedroom and found one of Lily's sweaters to put on.  Then they both found shopping bags and walked around the house saying bye-bye every time they passed us.

They love to play outside with their toys and slide and wading pool.  Bill Orr and John and I spent all afternoon on Saturday watching them play.  Such fun.

Lily chatters constantly speaking in 2 and 3 word sentences.  Callum is starting to talk more.  They are also good at conveying what they want in sign language.  The sign for thank you is an automatic response now when you do something for them.

It's been a fun winter watching them grow.  We're now looking forward to our camping trip as we wind our way to Indiana and our other grandchildren.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
