Good Times Before Driving West

The book club got together Sunday at Shari's house so I was able to attend one more time.  Shari and Michael fixed a delicious Italian meal (always a good reason to go to their house).  We had a lively discussion (as usual) about the book A Fine Balance.  It made me think about the balance we have in our life between our friends and family in Indy and our friends and family in Arizona.  Plus wanting to spend time with  those in other parts of the country.

Sam was on fall break while we were home so the family (except for Carson) met at Pat Flynn's for dinner.  It's always fun to be with Jake and Sam as they enjoy each others company.  They mugged for the camera in this shot.

We left on Monday morning and are spending the night at one of our favorite campgrounds in Hannibal, Missouri, the Mark Twain Campground.  Our neighbors stopped by and we had a pleasant evening sitting outside visiting.  They are from Dayton, Ohio and are on their way home.  We tried to convince them to head southwest with us but they will eventually go to Florida.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
