For those of you who wonder why we haven't been in touch too much lately, I thought I'd take a few pictures to show you why. The first picture is of the library (or half of it). Readers among you may think it great to have all those books. But idiots that we were, we didn't cover anything before sanding the floor. So EACH one of them needs to be dusted and vacuumed to suck the dust out of the inside.

The next is a shot of the mess by the front door in the foyer. In front of the organ we have begun stacking all those items we no longer need and will share with family or friends or donate. It's amazing but after living in a travel trailer for a good part of the year, we find that having all this stuff is wearing. We are all for the simple life now. Plus planning to sell the house requires that we get rid of excess baggage.

The third picture show what you see as you walk in the front door. Not only are there more books in there, but the dining room table is in the foyer. It doesn't really look like a table as it's covered with a tarp and the miter saw is sitting on top along with a lot of other stuff. There is just barely room to squeeze through to get to the back of the house.

Our living room is totally unusable. When we receive visitors now, we entertain on the front porch. The buffet sits in the middle of the living room, along with dining room chairs and, of course, various tools.
I didn't bother showing the kitchen with it's collection of tools and paint cans. Such fun to maneuver around when I cook. But the cooking in the travel trailer taught me a great deal about making the most of a small space.

The last picture is our beautiful dining room. Hopefully the wallpaper will arrive this week and we can get it finished. Then the big job of cleanup begins.
