Thirsty's

We went to a most unusual place for dinner tonight in Hays, Kansas with some friends.  I'd like to say there is a theme but couldn't pin it down.  We had a fun time looking at all the unusual decorations.  The TV may not look too unusual but it is in the floor.  I guess so while waiting to be seated you can look down and still see the TV.  The place is composed of several rooms including a game room.

The 'table' in this picture is a car hood that you can sit at. There are also a variety of bars scattered about the building.  The 'Marilyn Monroe' maniquin was there to greet us.  We also saw a James Dean cutout along with a huge Shrek.  The car motif was carried throughout with pictures and various car type memorabilia.  Not to leave out the farmers, a few farm type items were around.

The last picture shows the four of us - Kenny and Ruth Herman and us enjoying a margarita.  We ordered the appitizer sampler which (and who could resist) included fried pig tails along with the usual fried pickles.  I didn't inquire about the pig tails.  They tasted like fried pork.

Our entrees were delicious.  I had the shrimp - 8 large shrimp, 2 sides and bread for about $10.  Seemed quite reasonable to me.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
