Day 3 of Babies

I'm finding out that this 67 year old woman can get along with sleeping in less than 3 hour segments. I can drift off sitting upright and can carry on conversations in a sleep-deprived state. (Although not always coherently.) I am spending the week at the Orr's and pulling middle of the night duty since Erick has to report for work every morning. For those of you with one new baby to cope with, no complaints! Just try dealing with two nursing babies at 2 am. Callum is pretty laid back and willing to wait in line. Lily wakes up and is hungry and begins screaming for food. If the food station is occupied, there is hell to pay. But this grammie is learning to cope.

I finished reading The Great Fire by Shirley Hazzard. But now have started The Eight which a friend in the RV park gave me to read. It is a great adventure and mystery and is hard to put down.

Life is good, babies to hold and a book to read.

Maybe we could swap some baby holding time for books? Sounds like you are having fun, life is 'the usual' here in the park and John is keeping to wild parties to a minimum..paige

Much as I love books, I'd be hard pressed to surrender any baby holding time. John may be good but those wild dogs are the ones I worry about.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
