Cave Creek and Wickenburg

We picked up the Turpins today and spent the day exploring parts of Arizona.  We started at Cave Creek with a stop at Town Dump.  This is a fascinating place with tons of items for sell.  Gil got tired of walking and found a bench. Several things caught our eye but somehow living in a trailer doesn't make you want to buy a 5 foot cow made of metal.

Our favorite lunch site, The Satisfied Frog, has closed.  So we tried out the Horny Toad.  My burger was stuffed with cheese and peppers.  Half was more than enough so the rest of it came home with me.

Then we traveled the high country into Tonto National Forest to view Bartlett Lake.  Not a drive for those who get nervous on curvy roads.  Although not the worst we've been on.

After traveling east, we reversed our direction and headed west.  We ended up in Wickenburg which lays claim to being the West's Most Western Town.  Interesting place but it was time to return to Phoenix so we didn't have much time.

Margaret Turpin begins another round of chemo and radiation at the Mayo clinic so we plan to spend more time with them.  Politics are not mentioned!!!

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
