The big question: Can two old people, two toddlers and two dogs survive an overnight stay in a 28 foot trailer?
We put it to the test this weekend. Lily and Callum came to spend the night on a spur of the moment decision.
3:00 Arrive at the trailer, set up the kids table and dump out the toy box
3:10 Pass out doggie bones to neighboring dogs
3:30 Entertain old folks at cocktail hour
4:30 First change of poopie diapers
4:45 Begin watching Elmo DVD
5:30 Mimi realizes that kids are hungry so orders a healthy meal - pizza
5:35 Thinking an hour might be a little long to wait, shove other food at kids - bananas, leftover meat loaf and fix a boxed mac and cheese (tomatoes in meat loaf serve as a veggie)
5:45 Open sofa, put on jammies and begin process of getting Mimi settled down for bed
6:00 Colts game begins so switch DVD to laptop
7:00 Callum falls asleep
8:30 Lily falls asleep
9:00 Grandpa falls asleep after putting Lily in bed
11:30 Lily wakes up and wants milk, Papaw gets up and retrieves sippy cup from fridge.
2:00 am Lily wakes up and wants water, Papaw get up and retrieves sippy cup containing water
4:00 am Lily wakes up and wants water, Papaw fills her sippy cup
5:30 am Lily wakes up and wants Mimi who gets up and rocks Lily who falls asleep about 6:30
7:00 am Callum wakes up
8:00 am Papaw wakes up
8:30 am Lily wakes up
We survived the night with no cries for Mommy and Daddy. Then Lily asked where they were. I explained that we would see them later. Okay, no problem. After breakfast, thanks Papaw, we took them to the play ground at the Apache Junction library.
Mom and Dad arrived, took us to lunch and then Mimi took a long nap.
Fun time was had by all.

I love that! You deserved that nap big time. We got the kids a bunk bed set with a desk and drawers and shelves. Used! Good. Solid wood. Bad (too heavy for old people to move). Almost done putting it together and putting the toys in it then I'll post pictures.
