Happy Birthday John and Margaret

We celebrated John and Margaret's birthdays yesterday.  John is 2000 miles away and we couldn't reach him by phone. So we don't know how he celebrated but hope he had a good time.  I'm sure Sandy and Samantha made sure of that.  He was in our thoughts all day.  He is a wonderful young man and we are proud of him.

The twins are really getting into the birthday spirit.  They helped me make a cake for Margaret (dark chocolate only).  Lily got a little cake batter on her fingers and asked me to wipe it off (dirty).  So I suggested she lick it off.  She stuck a little in her mouth and smiled a huge smile saying 'I like it, it's good'.  Her vocabulary is huge and she chatters all the time.  Callum is less verbal but more skilled with hand usage.  They stirred the cake batter 'carefully'.  Then Lily helped decorate it.  Callum was busy playing with the balloons and couldn't be bothered.  I bought a little jar of sprinkles that were different colored stars.  Lily wanted to pick out the purple stars and put them on the cake.  I finally persuaded her that it was more fun
to put all of them on the cake.  That girl does love purple.  Lily put the candles on the cake all by herself.  They were grouped most artistically.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
