Under the Stars

We had a wonderful time last night attending Symphony on the Prairie at Conner Prairie.  The weather was absolutely perfect.  The songs were John Denver songs sung by Jim Curry.  He looks amazing like John Denver and his voice strongly resembles John's.  I could close my eyes and swear that John Denver had descended from heaven and was on stage.

In listening to the music I became aware of how familiar the songs all were even though I had never thought of myself as a big John Denver fan.  But I love his music.  The crowd responded delightedly to the music and persuaded them to do 3 encores.  It is always a pleasure to listen to the symphony whether at a pops concert like this or one of the classical presentations at Circle Theater.

The only downside was the group of giggling people next to us.  The user came around once to ask them to be quiet.  Some of their neighbors finally gave up and moved.  They didn't seem interested in the music at all but just wanted to visit.  A small annoyance during an otherwise perfect evening.  In one of the pictures you can see that John had a rough day and is taking a small nap before the concert began.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
