Haus Murphy

It has taken a while but we finally made it to Glendale (an hour away) to eat at Haus Murphy.  It was featured on Diner, Dives and Drive-Ins.  Plus Bill had been wanting to relive his trip to Germany when he was young.  No one was disappointed.  They put us in a back room by ourselves. A good thing!  Our waiter told us he enjoyed having us come and hoped we'd come back as a group again. (I know, he was angling for a good tip).  Although he was probably surprised to find a group of old people cutting up and laughing and not whining and complaining.
John and I had a dinner for two which had an assortment of sausages, a pork chop, sauerkraut, red cabbage, potatoes.  Needless to say we brought home enough for 2 more meals.  Bill and Sue and John and I had bread pudding for dessert.  I would drive across town just for that.  Bill got an additional order to take home.  Smart man.  Paige and Dave had cherry strudle which looked delicious as well.
Good meal, good friends.  Perfect evening.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
