Our flower garden

The first picture is a 'before' image of the flower garden.  After hours and hours of hard work, stealing plants from the desert we created that beautiful garden in the second picture.  Actually we had permission to dig up the cactii and one is already flowering!!!  In the pot I planted basil so plan to use it in cooking.  It is doing great.  Now I hope it makes the trip to Indiana without any problems.  It loves the warm weather here.  I was surprised at how many people around here didn't know what it was.  One of the good things about this garden is that it is small and doesn't require much work.  But miss my Indiana garden.  I'm afraid the tulips will all be done blooming by the time we get home this year.

My tooth was extracted and I'm on a soft diet for a couple of days.  Lots of yogurt, mashed potatoes, and ice cream.  Jake bought me some chocolate soy milk which is delicious.  I also expect it to make a delicious milk shake.  After a week of pain, this feels so good (or is it the drugs I'm on now).

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
