Book Signing

Linda and I attended a talk and book signing at a book store in Phoenix tonight.  T. C. Boyle talked about and read a selection from his book The Women.  It is a fictionalized account of the women in Frank Lloyd Wright's life.  It was a delightful talk for which I was glad.  Some authors are terrible speakers (for example John Updike).   T. C. is the one in the yellow jacket with the red tennis shoes and an odd hair cut.  But who cares what an author looks like when he can produce beautiful prose and has the ability to make us forget where we are while we are engrossed in his book.  He became interested in Wright when he and his wife bought a house designed by Wright and restored it.  Can't wait to read the book.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
