The Iowa Cafe

The food was advertised as "Hog-sloppin', Field-plowin',Hair-on-chest, Food".  Owned and operated by a former Iowan native the place is full of Iowa signs and memorabelia.  The breaded pork tenderloin sandwich was big, of course, but a bit dry.  John liked his patty melt.  Next time I'll try the daily special which we only noticed on the board after we had already ordered.

On the way home we noticed a Hoosier Cafe.  Will check it out next.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
