Amy's Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY

We were living in Columbus, Indiana when Amy joined the family.  Johnny was so excited about having a daughter that he went shopping for a little pink dress before he came to see me in the hospital.  My sister Alice came to help with John David while I spent all my time bonding with my new daughter.   She was a delight from the beginning and we all fell in love with this little creature.

Amy is most like me with my love of books and lack of concern about appearances.  She has been a great Mom for her children.  Because of her they have developed the ability to cope with a life full of the unexpected.  The greatest fun is to go shopping with her for used books.  We laugh, share and sometimes cry together.  She is the one who enables us to be gone for 6 months of the year as she keeps our affairs in order.  We are very proud of our older daughter and the strong, independent young woman she is today.

I remember Amy at 12 being amazing when I left her in charge of a 6 month old and a 5 year old when I ran to the hospital. She handled everything well.

About Me

We retired after years of being in the computer support business, Jane with Brulin Corp and John with Unisys. We tried tent camping but finally settled on RV living. While we are part timers now, we hope to move to becoming full-timers eventually. John works on his HO model of Ellis, KS UP railroad and Jane persues her search for used books to read and sell on Amazon. We winter in Apache Junction, AZ and summer in Indiana.
